Router's Birthday Surprise is a combination of animated videos and interactive games designed to engage young learners to develop internet and personal safety awareness. Watch a video segment and then you will be prompted to play a game to reinforce the concept introduced in that segment.

Watch Router's Birthday Surprise, by NetSmartzKids.org, to learn about internet and personal safety by clicking on the image to the left. The movie will open within the NetSmartzKids.org website in a separate tab. You will need to press the play arrow to begin.

Click on the Internet Adventure link to the right to navigate to NetSmartzKids.org's Internet Adventure. This interactive game-based lesson will open in a separate tab within your internet browser. Please see the log in directions and game tips below before you proceed.

You will need to type in a name to continue. Please use your initials, your four digit School ID Number, and your initials again. DO NOT use your first and last name! Then press GO.

Play an interactive matching game after watching Clicky tell you all of the fun things that you can do online. In the matching game, you will pair up pictures representing fun online activities like music, history, jokes, and more!

Play a game show to learn about Clicky's FOUR rules of internet safety. You will need to answer a multiple choice question for each rule by clicking on the correct answer.

Help Clicky get to Webville by clicking on one of the three tubes of the internet. Note: Only one of the tubes will lead Clicky to Webville.

After watching Clicky capture and bring the outlaw to jail, you will have to decide which outlaw is guilty of each online crime by clicking on the correct character. Then, you can play a game called Webville Roundup where you will use your mouse to grab the outlaws and toss them in jail or you can skip ahead to learn how many points you have earned.

Webster will review the four rules of real-world safety. Then you will need to click and drag the grocery products with the correct words to complete the lyrics on the store chalkboard.

Clicky will ask you to define what a "Trusted Adult" is by asking you YES/NO questions about what a trusted adult would do. You will click on the green fish if the answer is YES and the red fish if the answer is NO. After you answer all of the questions, Clicky will review the definition.

You are invited to Router's birthday party! Chose a gift at the virtual pet store by clicking on a chew toy, box, and card of your choice. When you are done, raise your hand to show the teacher you have completed Router's Birthday Surprise Internet Safety Web Journey. You will receive a certificate of completion from your teacher on behalf of NetSmartzkids.org.
